Yesterday I met up with my first friend - Alissa. We met in grade one and were inseparable until grade six, when we split ways and went to different High Schools. My childhood is filled with so many amazing memories, and Alissa is pretty much part of each and every one. Playing Care Bear detectives. Searching for caterpillars. Performing the bock-bock dance. Designing futuristic cars. I really wish our friendship had endured High School, but it didn't. Alissa still lives in the neighbourhood where we grew up. She's married and expecting her first baby. Seeing her made my heart melt. I will do my best to keep the friendship up this time, even though we live in different provinces I think I can do it.
