Apples Florentine

The other night I had dinner with my Dad, which is always nice. We got to talking about cooking and I was reminded of my Dad's signature dish, Apples Florentine (sliced apple with cinnamon sugar and coloured sprinkles). My Dad is not a cook, but he did know how to whip up an awesome snack. Apples Florentine was more than a creative way to junk-up an apple, the whole process of making it was magic. He'd slice the apple thin and me and my brother would sprinkle on the sweetness. Then we'd place it in a plastic bowl and pig out. It's an awesome memory. Makes me happy and sad - it is possible.
